Authorities ID Central Jersey Resident, 75, Killed In House Fire

Authorities have released the name of the Middlesex County resident killed in a house fire on Tuesday.

The fire broke out about 5 p.m. at 122 Lowell Street in Carteret.  

First responders found Mark Levinzon, 75, of Carteret inside the residence. Levinzon was unresponsive and taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death remains undetermined pending an autopsy by the Middlesex County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. 

An investigation into the cause of the fire is active and continuing.
